The City of Lexington and the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2011 Festival of the Lakes and Fireworks Show held at Beech Lake on Monday, July 4th. This year’s festival will include a BBQ Cook-off, “Lap on the Lake,” a 3-mile kayak/canoe race and a Cardboard Boat Race, a Motorcycle Dice Run , Beech Baby and Miss Festival of the Lakes Pageant, live entertainment, lots of food and fun! The Fireworks Extravaganza will be the GRAND FINALE!
There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome! Bring your lawn chairs and join the fun!!!

Sunday, July 3rd - BBQ Cook-off Begins
Monday, July 4th:
8 am • “Lap on the Lake” ~ 5K Kayak and Canoe Race
9 am • “Build a Boat: Hope it Floats” Cardboard Boat Race
9 am • Motorcycle Dice Run ~ Leaves from Lexington Dairy Queen
9 am • Beech Baby and Miss Festival of the Lakes Pageant
5 pm • Opening Ceremony and Entertainment Begins
At Dark • 30-minute Fireworks Extravaganza!!!!!
