Near Scotts Hill, the restored Doe Creek School was dedicated July 15, 2007.  According to restoration experts at Middle TN State University, it is the only one-room schoolhouse-church left in TN.

The log building stands next to the cemetery on Doe Creek Rd.  The cabin is being used for weddings, church services and school tours.  Officials are working to get the cabin on the National Register of Historic Places. On Oct 4th, a historic marker for the building was unveiled.  A re-enactment was held of one-room school days. The event was held in conjunction with Scotts Hill’s Appreciation Days.
